JB063 by James C. Brett

The only familiar things about this jacket are probably the moss (UK; seed, US) stitch and cable patterns. Otherwise everything looks fresh and arresting: the belled 3/4 sleeves, the neckline, A-line 'skirt', the colorway-- everything. Here you honor tradition but are never its slave. Set-in sleeves give a good grounded fit at the shoulders, but the piece slides down from there in the most flattering way. Back neck is straight; the one-button closure allows pretty much anything to be worn underneath it.
