JB023 by James C. Brett

This is one of the most relaxed bolero jackets we have ever seen, and happily that means it's very easy to knit. The shoulders and back neck are straight; the armholes are only lightly curved, though the sleeves have a nice rounded cap. The cushy shawl collar (including the front edges) is worked in two segments that meet at the back neck. The top is shaped with the most elementary short rows-- just turn around and rib back, no wrapping, no nothing. The bulk of the yarn itself, the petal fronts, and the almost boxy shape should minimize your waist.
